“Our favourite family friendly holiday is anywhere on a beach! We are a total beach family and would love to permanently live on one, but for now, our favourite beach vacation has been Barbados – especially the Bougainvillea Beach Resort!”
By far, one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been to, white sand, blue water and waves.
Barbados is also home of the St. Lawrence Gap where we love to stroll through, go shopping and eat some delicious food. The restaurants and bars are awesome and the vibe is so great.
Must-dos!
- Head out for an afternoon or evening in the St. Lawrence Gap for food and drinks.
- Go body surfing in the ocean as the waves are perfect for it.
- Check out the Jolly Roger Boat Cruise! Our baby was too young to go on this but when she is a little big older, we will definitely be heading out on the Jolly Roger for a day!
Must-eats!
Go to the fish fry on a Friday night in Oistins. It is SO much fun, the fish is amazing and the atmosphere is really cool! If you’re looking for great food, over looking the beautiful ocean and great service, check out Castaways for a nice dinner.

Another great spot for cocktails and food is Cocktail Kitchen. We loved the rooftop patio! If you want a low key night with great food, check out Sharkeys!

Our favourite beach spot was the beach to the left of Bougainvillea Beach Resort. It was never too busy, the beach was just perfect!
