SASHA SAYS…

Oli and I were always super skeptical about all-inclusive family vacations. We assumed they would be really cheesy or generic.

But after a tricky vacation to Bermuda, which involved a lot of unnecessary moving around in the heat (i.e. long distances between restaurants, crowds to get space on beaches, paying to swim in certain areas etc) we decided to take the plunge at a Club Med Punta Cana, and we had a blast!

We loved Club Med Punta Cana so much, we plan to take the kids to a few more next year and experience new, exotic locations.

SASHA’S TOP 5 TRAVEL TIPS

“For me, traveling with the children is like a military operation”
1. HONE THE NECESSARY SKILLS

Ensure you are organized, well prepared and patient.

2. SHOW THEM THE WORLD

My advice would be to be ambitious with the kids, try be adventurous but also know when you need to be realistic and simplify the travel.

3. KNOW THEIR LIMITS

Moving around with all the kid gear is hard if you don’t have a car, so if it’s not in walking distance, maybe give it a miss because there is nothing worse then trying to do something fun with the kids when you are hot, tired and hungry!

4. EQUIPMENT MATTERS

In terms of must have products – the Baby Zen YoYo is my best friend, so easy to fly with and keep the little ones contained all the way to the plane!

5. DON’T FORGET THE FLIGHT SAVIOURS

We also always surprise the children with a new gadget or you just as they get on the plane, buys us some decent time before they get antsy on takeoff.
