 FAVOURITE DESTINATIONS SO FAR?

Here are Bryanna’s top two!

1. Florida, United States

We absolutley LOVE the Grayton Beach area on the Panhandle of Florida. The beautiful white sand beaches and the crystal clear waters really speak to us. Every time we get there we all take a big deep breath and are so at peace and excited to be by the beach. We have been to multiple beaches on our travels and this area of the country keeps calling us back!

If you stay in Grayton Beach we recommend camping at Grayton Beach State Park. The area around here can get busy if you go west to Destin or East to Seaside. So staying in Grayton Beach State Park gives you a much more relaxed and laid back environment.

There is an awesome bike trail you can take and ride up to Seaside to eat at Airstream row or one of the many other restaurants. If you head into Destin there are a ton of activities from jet skiing, to a pirate cruise, to go-carts. But our recommendation is to hang out on the beach all day! You can read more about Destin on our blog here.

Tip: If you don’t camp the state park also has cabins.

From Grayton Beach State Park you can also walk west on the beach for about a mile and you come up to the town of Grayton where you can head into a restaurant to grab dinner or a drink. Just know that on the walk you will have to cross an area with a foot or so deep of water where the lake and ocean meet. It is all part of the adventure!

2. Montana, United States

Last August we spent 5 weeks in Glacier National Park and absolutely fell in love with the mountains, the clean and fresh air, beautiful glacial water, the wildlife and the breathtaking views. Once in the park you lose cell coverage and naturally start relaxing as you take in the amazing scenery around you. The hiking was so much fun and we saw waterfalls, mountain lakes, hidden lakes, mountain goats and so much more. If you are looking for a true nature escape we highly recommend Glacier National Park in Montana.

If you go to Glacier you can camp at one of the multiple RV parks outside of the park – we stayed at the Timber Wolf Resort. Or you can stay in Glacier at their campgrounds or head over to Whitefish to stay at one of the resorts there. They also have hotels inside Glacier National Park that would be awesome to stay at!

When in Glacier we highly recommend you get out and go hiking. It can be a busy place but once you get on to the trails there are less and less people the more miles you go. Just be sure to read up on wildlife safety. You will also want to drive the Going To The Sun Road which may just be the coolest road you can drive in the US! Here is some info on hiking and info on things to do with children in the area.

In Glacier you should add Bowman Lake and Polebridge Mercantile to your list of stops. It is off the beaten path and you have to travel on a dirt road and through some windy roads for a while to get there but once there you will be glad you made the trip! Info about it here!
