With children, a short flight is the best flight, I also wanted to ensure that wherever we went the kids would have plenty of water time. To ensure that they are becoming as water safe as they can be.

ROXY’S MUST-STAY
We stayed at the Sheraton Grand Mirage which was wonderfully suited to parents with children, complete with a Games Room – which we renamed the Kid’s ‘’Casino’’ – even the adults were addicted each evening after dinner.

The Star is also a great location and one we visited having just been refurbished, not only is it new, it has a great food and beverage offering.
ON THE MENU
1. Hellenika Greek in Nobby’s Beach for Dinner is the best Greek I have ever had, and it’s child friendly.
2. BSKT for Breakfast in Nobby’s Beach is great and the kids love the COCO WHIP bowl which is not only healthy but fooled them that they were eating ice-cream, it was a win win.
3. For lunch sans kids if you get a chance, you cant go past the Fish House in Burleigh, the most amazing view and toothfish you will ever enjoy!

ROXY’S TOP GOLDIE TIP!
For shopping you can’t go past, Pacific Fair, I went almost every afternoon, it’s an amazing mall unlike any in Australia with the best of the best brands as well as a great restaurant offering – Betty’s Burgers is a must go to with the kids followed by dessert at COWCH!
OUT AND ABOUT ON THE GOLD COAST
We headed to SeaWorld which was a great day, albeit very warm, additionally Currumbin Wildlife Park is one to visit with kids. Movie World is alsoa fun, full day out. There is so much to do for kids on the Gold Coast, not only in terms of theme parks but also from a nature and outdoors perspective.
